What is a King of the Hammers Edition?
“In 2008, I was invited to race the second KOH race when it was competition among friends for bragging rights and a case of beer”. My newest race car is a Bronco. I’m racing for the first time this year. These cars are sturdy 4-wheel drive and unlimited builds that come in all shapes and sizes, are capable of speeds over 100+ mph, and contain gear ratios as low as 100 to 1 for technical rock crawling. The KOH race has grown over the years; now, 530 teams from around the globe compete in multiple categories, and over 80,000 fans converge on the lakebed to be a part of the 10-day Event. KOH has changed the face of off-road racing forever. The competition is tough, and the competitors are more formidable. Additional classes that race at KOH are Every Man’s Challenge, which encompasses 4600 Stock, 4500 Modified, and 4800 Legend cars. The fastest-growing class is the 4900 UTV class, and the newest is the Electric Vehicle (EV) class. Motos and the Rock Bouncer’s Shootout are also held at KOH.”

Comparison: Bronco Raptor LiveValve vs. KOH vs. Wildtrak
While the Bronco Raptor uses brute force and Fox's LiveValve semi-active technology to conquer harsh terrains fast, the KOH Bronco is designed to be nimble and comfortable on and off the trails with analog adjustable Performance Elite shocks. Most importantly, it's built to be fun.
What is the difference between the Wildtrak package with FOX 2.5 Internal Bypass shocks and the 2.5 Performance Elites on the KOH Bronco? Both are excellent products. The Wildtrak uses FOX's position-sensitive technology that shines in fast desert conditions. I chose the FOX 2.5 Performance Elite shocks with dual-speed compression adjusters for their versatility and tuneability like the shocks that I have used in my race car. This shock package came from the Ultra4 4600 class Bronco I raced at King of the Hammers. I took full advantage of my long-standing relationship with FOX's race engineers. Together we tuned the shock package to achieve the comfort and fluid-like ride quality I was after on and off the dirt.
